As our flat is sorting out the nit picky business of how much everything costs, we keep coming to the same result of 'but that's not going to be enough!', and it's exactly that reason why we are all on board; no one should have to eat on $2.85/day let alone LIVE on that much! (That would be one long walk to uni! Let alone that fact that we defintely wouldn't be living in a flat!!) So doing this challenge is really the least we can do to start to get a grips on the reality of poverty that too many people face. And it is this sort of poverty that makes me realise - I am not a poor student - I am so so blessed to be living in a flat in Wellington, going to university, and able to afford more than $2.85 of food per day!
I'm doing LBL because I believe in the Power of Together.
I've signed up to Live Below the Line because together, we can make a real difference against global poverty. I'm inspired by the work of Tearfund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my five-day challenge.
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about LBL, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! Together, we're helping enable vulnerable families around the world to help themselves out of poverty.
