Day 3

So it's Day 3. And we've passed my initial fundraising goal! Thankyou!!!! So I've upped it, because we can do more.

Yes, the energy levels are low. Yes, it's inconvenient to have to eat half a can of baked beans for dinner when the friends you're with are eating a yum as pasta dish. But poverty isn't convenient. People are hungry, and yet have to work so so hard to get the little that they do.

It is such a good reminder to me of how much I have, how much choice I enjoy, the conveniences of wealth. And yet we are called to care for the downtrodden, the oppressed, the poor. That's not always convenient either. It costs something. The inconveniences I'm experiencing this week are minimal. And so worth it.

Thanks again for partnering with me, with Jesus, and with those who will be able to help themselves out of poverty through self help groups and farming co-ops. Kia ora!!!

I'm doing LBL because I believe in the Power of Together.

I've signed up to Live Below the Line because together, we can make a real difference against global poverty. I'm inspired by the work of Tearfund and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my five-day challenge. It is such a good reminder for me of what life is like for so so many people.

God's heart for justice and the needy inspires me to do something.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about LBL, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot! Together, we're helping enable vulnerable families around the world to help themselves out of poverty.

Thank you to my Sponsors
